Viewbrics: A Technology-Enhanced Formative Assessment Method to Mirror and Master Complex Skills with Video-Enhanced Rubrics and Peer Feedback in Secondary Education

Abstract To master complex skills, it is important to practice regularly and form a mental model of the strived-for skills. If you know for which mastery level are striving can mirror performances against this benchmark with help others, then focus on practicing deficient sub-skills become ‘master’. Although regular structured indispensable, secondary schools do often not facilitate in daily educational practice. We expected that technology-enhanced formative assessment method analytic rubrics could support both formation as well students’ However, we further hypothesized text-based offer limited capacity convey contextualized, procedural, time-related observable behavioral aspects skill, thus restricting construction rich model. using video-enhanced rubrics, an integration video modeling examples, within would lead ‘richer’ model, improved feedback quality positive growth skills performance.
